Moose Mosteller, Director of Student Ministries

My name is Michael Steven Mosteller, but please call me “Moose.”  I am married to Karen Mosteller for sixteen years and we have three girls Elisabeth, Alana, and Rebekah.  I am originally from Snellville, Georgia and attended Brookwood High School.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in General Speech Communication degree from Valdosta State University and a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.  I have been in youth ministry for over fourteen years in places like Kentucky, Texas, Georgia, and recently in Birmingham, Alabama.  I am a certified candidate for ordination in the United Methodist Church as a deacon.  I love to read, play board games, Star Wars, and watch Formula One racing.  My passion is to help youth, parents, and volunteers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  My nickname Moose was given to me by my father, because I played football for eleven years growing-up.  I keep the name, but hung up my cleats to follow Christ on an amazing journey of faith and ministry that has lead me to Carrollton First United Methodist Church.  I’m thrilled and excited to join the staff at CFUMC and look forward to what God has in store for this church and youth program.
